wtnhunt
Has anyone else tried cabelas or any other sausage kits? Got italian and breakfast sausage kits a while back and made some up. Both turned out great. I will definitely be making more soon.
AJ
Re: Sausage kits Yep, I have had good success with Cabela's spice kits. I have the summer sausage kit to try one of these days
wtnhunt
Re: Sausage kits The breakfast sausage seasoning made with about a lb of cheap fatty bacon for every 4 lbs of venison turned out great, for anyone that has not tried it who likes breakfast sausage I highly recommend trying it. Far better than any store bought sausage I have ever tried. Used fat trimmings from pork loins in the italian sausage and they turned out pretty good too. Hope to get a new smoker for fathers day/birthday and will probably try making some of those cured types of sausages in the future.
