Flintlock1776
Well, I have been eying the Leupold’s all-new UltimateSlam™ riflescope with SA.B.R. reticle http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/scopes/shotgunmuzzleloader-scopes/ultimateslam/ So, I saved it in my wish list at one of those big box hunting stores. Just as I was going to order it I decided just for heck of of it to see it on eBay. No discount there. The Big Box had a discount based upon how much you spend and this scope would qualify for the max amount. Finally, I just did a quick Google of it and holy cow! A well known NY camera store had it for the lowest prices without coupons or rebates. A camera store? In NYC selling hunting scopes?! Well, heck, that has to be a sight for the NY liberals that may walk into a camera store and see that! Well, they are a quality camera store so what the heck! I ordered from them. I have to visit that store some day. I would have never figured a NYC camera store for a hunting scope!

Hoosierbuck
Many years ago, I bought a pair of binos and a spotter from one of those outfits in the back of Pop. Photog. They were rude, their computer crashed and they lost all record of hundreds of transactions, including mine. They had shipped the spotter, but never did ship the binos. When I called them to see what the deal was and to ask why they never billed my card for the spotter, they were very rude and up in arms about the fact that I had the nerve to ask where the binos were. I never did call them back after that, they never rectified their billing, so they kept my binos and I kept their spotter. I feel a little bad, but I gave them a chance for crying out loud. To this day if they billed me I would pay it, but I'll be darned if I go running to them again about it just to get chewed out like last time. It was about 9 years ago. fly
I bought the same scope for my ML. Got it from Cabela's. I had one of those coupons where the more you spend the more you save. I also cashed in some points. They had to order it (should be in any day). I'll have them install it and put a picture up. I looked inside the omega and the Ultimate slam. I really like the SABR reticle better. That small dots on the omega BDC reticle are difficult for me to see (run together some). I also liked the clarity better. I think it's a scope that will be turning a lot of heads this next year.

wtnhunt
Really not surprising to me that optics stores would sell scopes. The leupold scope does look like a nice scope, let us know how it works out for you.

stevebeilgard
i think it figgures out just right. you look at a new york city store, and they have a hunting scope. probably a mistake or a mis-order that they had to get rid of. no one there hunts, so no one wants it. sell it off at cost and be rid of it. right or wrong, you got your best deal.... No, it is just business. They actually carry more accessories for scope online than the Cabelas or Bass Pro. Check it out.
Buckeyenut
Got mine today. Very fast shipping and a lot cheaper than Cabelas I just looked at that scope today for my Triumph. If you don't mind me asking: how much did they ask for at the camera store? Thanks!

stcif
I recently was shopping for a new GPS. I decided on the Garmin Venture with high sensitivity receiver. I goggled it and also found it for sale at a NY City camera shop called Adorama. I bought it for 114.00 brand new. Received it in two days. Much cheaper than Cabelas, etc.
