smallmunster
Welcome to the forums! It would help to know if you are making home movies or might want to put try selling them someday, what your price ranges is, and if you are going to try and edit them on your PC. In general I like the Sony digital video cameras, I go with digital because it makes it easy to edit the footage on your PC. I have a digital8 model and while it works fine, I will get a MiniDV model whenever I decide to upgrade. There are plenty of other manufacturers out there that make good cameras as well. smallmunster
Re: hunt video info Sony has several models to look at. There are a couple of MiniDV cams with 20X zoom that might be OK for you. In general the more you pay the better the video quality will be. The higher the effective pixel count the better the resolution should be. Some of Canon's midrange models might be something to look at as well.
