Homemade Deer Feeder

We've had a number of deer the last few weeks coming into our yard and raiding the bird feeders.

They've been licking them clean every 2 or 3 days, so we set up a game cam to capture the thieves on film.

Steve then got the brilliant idea to build a deer feeder and put it next to a couple of the bird feeders. They are loving it. After feeding on the corn though, they always lick out the bird feeders anyway.

Dessert I guess.

We've had some does and fawns earlier but this nice buck comes back every night now.

We've also captured a black bunny, a black dog and the last pic shows some other kind of animal at the feeder. Not sure what that is. Any help on that one would be appreciated.

And so.......................is that buck still alive??

Yeah, they always seem to know that hunting season is over for the year:(

That is a big ole blacktail!!!!

And that last "thing"? Abominal Snowman maybe? Whatever it is scares me and I'm fearless!!!

It kinda scares me too. And it makes such a mess!

Cool pics. I've never seen a wild black rabbit before....neat.

We've got quite a few domestic rabbits, gone wild around the neighborhood. :( Any more and I might have to start thinking about "slingshot rabbit stew".
