cflhunter
Do any of you do any calling during this time of year. I generally do not bring any calling "tools" with me when we are this late in the season. What about you? Do you usually carry your grunt call or even your bleat? I hesitate doing any blind calling in fear of deterring any bucks that may be coming my way. What are your thoughts?
Tominator
After gun season deer are pretty spooky around here, I really hesitate to even bring a grunt call with me this time of year. About the only time I'll use it is if I see deer that I know won't be near me unless I get their attention. More times than not, a grunt call will only make deer take off. buckbuster11
Deer are pretty spooky...ok, REALLY spooky around here after the gun season. But, I don't believe you should ever go deer hunting in any circumstances without a grunt tube of some sort. I stay away from blind calling and all that stuff, but you never know when you might need to have one as a last resort to try and pull something a little closer. fly
I've never had any success with grunting after gun season.
Zambo
I always carry a grunt tube. If he's walking away and out of your life anyway you have nothing to lose by calling to him. Especially late in the season when you know it may be the last time you ever see that buck again.
Straight Shooter
I'm going to be grunting away next week on the last four days of the season here in NC. Blind or visual, it should work to draw in a buck looking for an unbred doe.
