arrow32
We always have a turkey and a ham just like on Thanksgiving. Also mom normally makes her homemade noodles. Other than that its hit and miss. I do remember tho I think it was last year that they decided to do soups instead of cooking. Well we had about 5 different kinds of soups. After about the 6th bowl and still not being full me and my cousin decided we aren't doing that again:D

Turkeygirl
Well tonight is lobster that was bought when on sale and frozen like 2 weeks ago. Christmas day....well we have a ham but I think dinner is going to be a vension loin roast...sides will probably be salag, Ambrosia (whip cream with coconut, mandarin oranges, and this little tiny pasta in it), probably potatoes in some sort. Mom is making the cake today for tomorrow...we'll have cookies to munch on. New Year's is when we have lots of mid-day munchies.
Adjam5
Well...we start out with a cold antipasto. That is a assortment of breads( Oh I love the olive bread), cheeses, dry sausage, sopresatta, prosciutto, olives, fresh mozzarella with tomato and basil, assortment of peppers and basically finger foods. With wine flowing... My Pop tells the kids to not fill up on the bread...always:p The little kids love putting the black olives on their fingers tips to eat them. I did that too before I got to sit at the BIG table:D. 1 Hour in between next course and a reminder that no politics will be spoken. My Mom brings out the trays of home made fresh manicotti. Everyone is limited to 2 except the kids. The wine still flowing. 1 hour in between next course. No politics reminder...again. Then the main dish usually is a Karl Ehmer ham on the bone with candied yams and asparugus. Basted with ginger ale and some Vermont syrup. I'll never tell where I got it:D. After that everyone makes a beeline for the couches, the belts open up and some snooze until dessert right there in the living room. Most picking their teeth. Makes for some good pictures:p After the dishes are cleaned, the nuts( walnuts, hazelnuts, brazil nuts and roasted chestnuts), figs and dates are brought out. THEN.... The cakes, desserts and espresso coffee are served with Sambuca or anisette. Home made ricotta chesse cake, aginettes(lemon cookies), marzepan cake that and but kicking Ambrosia( sour cream, marshmallow, pineapple, coconut shreds, choc chips, tangerines, fluffanutter) that my wife makes. After that all you basically have to do is pass out:p Edited December 24, 2008 by Adjam5

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Christmas eve at the grandparents house we have Ham, some home made Tamales that my mom and aunts get together and make usually the weekend before. Spanish rice, potato salad, taco salad...someone usually makes something with venison in it. There is a bunch of stuff usually (there has to be for our army of a family). Unfortunately this year we are going to put a hold on all of that until Sunday. Supposed to get some petty nasty weather today, making the roads pretty slick. Since everyone has a good 30 minutes to and hour drive to get there, they decided it would be better to wait. Christmas day usually we don't have anything special. My aunt and uncle and 4 cousins come over, we exchange gifts with them and have breakfast, but then they have to head t my uncles parents house and they spend the day there. We always delay Christmas dinner because we like to wait and have it with them, which usually ends up being the following day. The last couple of years I have deep fried a turkey, and I am pretty sure that is what I am going to do again this year. Along with stuffing, rice, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.:D

dance.and.shoot
Well breakfast is nothing but candy and cookie dough from our stockings (I always get some cookie dough in my stocking since i love it raw) Since I don't eat ham, there's always a ham and turkey at the table. don't matter if we're at my dad's parents, my mom's parents, or my step-mom's parents...there's a turkey for me and NOONE eats that turkey but me (and yes, I can eat an entire turkey...) snacks include (but are not limited to): ~homemade Hawaiian Bread ~my from a box, but not really from a box, Mac & Cheese ~My super cheesy meatloaf (it's amazingly good) ~Great-Grandma O.E.'s secret Christmas Jello (only if I'm at my mom's side though) ~Cloud cookies (idk what they're really called...but they're good) ~salsa and chips ~salad (so I don't feel guilty about the big roll of cookie dough I had that morning for breakfast) ~and random candy's in bowls on the counter it does depend on what family i'm with, but since i have 3 parents, i have too many foods to say
