Tim Andrus
Seems like the traffic is slowing down here since the season is pretty much over. Any thoughts?
Illinois59
Yes, i think you are correct. But Turkeys are just around the corner.

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Happens every year about this time. Yep, will be like this for a while. The turkey room will pick up in a month or so. Then you;ll see a gradual increase in traffic throughout the rest of the forums as trips start being planned, a few season kick in, people looking for ideas on new gear etc...Just the normal end of the year lull. But those who have been here for a while and don't have much of a social life will be here daily. That includes me

Tink
ROGER THAT..... Christmas season is slow and with the enconmy in a tailspin and a major change of Govt and at a most unwelcome time, some people will soon find some other thing to do. I will be around tho

fly
For me ... Im always on. Matter of fact Im planning for 09 deer season!! I hear ya Tim. Just today I took some deer sausage to the farmers who let me hunt their property. I asked one if I could bring my daughter for the youth weekend in 09. He said that would be fine with him. I then asked the other if I could hunt during the black powder season, he was fine with that as well. Things are looking good for 09. I'm still hunting hard. I had to take a little break there around Christmas for some home improvement. I'm back at it until mid-January. Went out tonight and only saw a possum. Where are you planning to hunt in 09 Tim? Coming back to Illinois? Edited December 30, 2008 by fly
Adjam5
I'm on often...waiting to go back to work killin' time. Trying to find the motivation to get out there and hunt some coyotes, with the temps in the teens, it is not enticing. I do have to dye my new traps and get going with that. We are looking forward to the Outdoor show in Suffern,NY in March. I know one Mr.Andrus will be present;).
wtnhunt
Still have not killed a deer here this season Tim, but it has not been for not having opportunities, just not had a comfortable shot on one that tripped my trigger. May very well end up breaking down and whacking a doe yet, still seeing a few of them around. Got a couple weeks left of rifle here and I am hunting every chance I get, then it will be a few months until spring turkey season opens. Will likely be doing a little yote hunting after our deer season ends. Think Steve is right about people being busy too though. Been quite a bit going on here. Might post your plans(start some threads) for the spring turkey season here.
mrswtnhunt
For me ... Im always on. Matter of fact Im planning for 09 deer season!! I'm fixin to start planning for the '09 Realtree Moose hunt in Alaska with akasheephuntress (kathleen). I am getting real excited about that. Already got vacation approved at work for 2 weeks. YOOOOHOOOO......I can't wait. I am really wondering how many people from the forums are going to be there. We have spring turkey season coming up soon. And since I got a new shotgun for valentines day last year, I am ready.

Tominator
Typical for this time of year I guess. Personally, the next 2 weeks will be extremely stressful for me. If I can get through my 6 month checkup I will be a happy boy and will be full steam ahead on our new house plans.
