Gloves?

What does everyone wear when bowhunting?

I had to return a shirt I got for Christmas, they didn't have the size I needed so I just used the balance toward a pair of Scentblocker gloves (shown below). I didn't get them for the Scentblocker part (so please keep the scent clothing arguments out of this ;)), but because I loved the way they fit, and also like the material on the palm and finger tips. They seem light enough for the early season, but also have enough there to keep my hands warm when the weather starts to get a bit colder.

Anyone use these?

I wear a pair of thin jerzy gloves with the grip dots on them. When on stand I take off the right glove off and keep my hands in my pockets, this leaves my right hand free for my release and I have a better feel for the trigger, keeping my hands in my pockets keeps my hands warm not to mention it cuts down on unwanted hand movement.

Nothing, when it's cold enough to wear them I use my hand muff with some hand warmers in it. I want to be able to feel my bow grip and trigger at all times when I ready to send and arrow through one. A deer has never seen my hands before I shot one, haven't smelled them either. I've hunted single digit weather and never had a problem with my hands being cold.

Early season some very lightweight cheapos I get at Wal Mart.

Mid season some heavy cheapos from Wal Mart.

Winter I bite the bullet and bought Under Armour Gloves. Great when dry but I found not water proof at all.

I bought a pair of black cheapo rubber gloves, again Wal Mart, for a rainy day:D

Exactly what and why I wear the same thing...never got used to having thicker gloves on while shooting. I practiced with them on and got used to the feel of them and never looked for anything else. Thier inexpensive so I carry a couple pair of them and even use them for field dressing as well. I just take the dirty pair off and put them in the ziploc bag the clean ones come out of when the jobs done. I believe they also keep down the amount of small cuts and scratches from any broken rib bones I used to get doing the field dressing bare handed and they improve on the grip on the knife too!
