backwoods07 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Share Posted December 30, 2008 Well, it's almost January. That means about two more weeks left of our deer season and I have yet to down a big buck. Through some casual conversation with a family friend, it dawned on me that they have a few wooded acres behind their house. I asked permission to hunt and it was granted! I'm going to hang a stand there by the weekend. In return, they asked me to take care of the coyote problem in the area:D. I told them I'd do my best:). This is huge news for me!! Our farm is 3 hours away and sometimes it's tough to get out there. This small 5 acre parcel is about 10 minutes away and is one of the very few places around here that isn't forest preserve.
