A good day white bass fishing

Just got done cleaning white bass,my buddy and I went fishing and caught over 100 white bass from 3/4 pound to 1 1/2 pounds.It was one of those days were nothing goes wrong.I dont remember when I caught so many whites at one time.For the frist hour we caught them one after the other,I had 15 in a row.It was unreal.here are a couple pics.The big one was 14 1/2 " 1 1/2 LBS

Powerton lake in Pekin IL. all were caught on yellow jig head white twister tail.They also have some huge cats but we never got to those because the whites were biteing so well.

In May, they come in from Lake Erie into one of the bigger western tribs. I've never fished that run, but I know guys have 30 ft. long stringers to keep all of them on it. Seems like a lot of fun. I know they're willing takers when they're hunger.

Used to catch those things in Lake Erie in the summer when they chase minnows. Used to throw them white doll flies behind a casting plug. One after another, all night. Tons-O-fun.

That would have been fun! We don't have white bass up here, they look kind of like a cross between a rock bass and a largemouth. Congrats on the fish! That's some good eatin.
