bfletch7441
We're headed back down to James Collins to hunt the weekend of the 10th, and I wanted to make sure what the season was open for. They did change the January season to be open for bucks and does, correct? If anyone gets a chance, come out and join us. Ben

bfletch7441
That's the same time they are moving here. That's been their pattern all season long for some reason. I haven't seen much of anything in the morning or evening, all in the middle of the day. Good luck tomorrow, and keep me posted on activity down there. hutchies
Yep...its bucks and does with an 09 tag. Kev I think that it goes again your 08 limit. You may have to buy an 09 tag..................... http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/regs/deerregs.htm Combined Season Limit The combined season limit for deer archery, youth deer gun, deer muzzleloader and deer gun seasons is no more than six (6) deer per individual. This limit may include no more than two (2) antlered deer. Deer taken by hunters participating in holiday antlerless deer gun seasons or controlled hunts are not included in the hunter’s combined season limit. Deer taken during the Jan. 1 - 15, 2009 archery season count toward the 2008 bag limit.
bfletch7441
Good question! We'll have to find out before we leave. I've got a lifetime, but Greg buy's an annual. Would hate to get caught up in that mess! I'll let you all know. Ben
bfletch7441
A bit from an email from the ODWC: To hunt deer Jan. 1-15, 2009, all hunters must possess a valid 2009 hunting license and legacy permit as well as a 2009 deer archery license for each deer hunted, unless otherwise exempt. These annual licenses are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Deer taken Jan. 1-15, 2009 count toward a hunter’s 2008 combined season limit.
