And a girl who works as a counselor at camp, she is in the Bronx currently, teaching like environmental ed. to inner city kids.

Flintlock1776
Not many places to hang a stand there:eek: Still, it has improved greatly at least in Manhattan, over the years. Nice place in all the seasons there
ruttinbuc
Nice picture Flintlock. It has been quite awhile since I was there last. They certainly have cleaned up Manhattan. I felt safer there than I do in a couple of towns near home. I am not particular to city life either, but it is the greatest city on earth. A lot of the fear people have of the city is really unfounded. The picture reminds me of the trip I took with some friends in the late 90's. We took the ferry in Jersey City to the Statue of Liberty on to the South Street Seaport. From there we went on foot to midtown. There are so many things to see and do there it is incredible. wtnhunt
Nice pics Mike, and Gary too. I can remember going through the city back in the 80's when my parents took us up to Niagara Falls. Kind of would have to agree with Steve, it is just not for me, too many people and too many lights. Really don't have any desire to ever go back to NYC, but glad you guys had fun. You should be a professional photograher, the pics. are great. Thanks again Mike, Darla I am happy you enjoyed the pictures, Darla. It was a pleasure and a bunch of fun to tour the big city with your loved ones. I would have liked to get more shots of them with eyes wide in awe of the sights and sounds, but it was hard to shoot in the crowd. I put all of the pictures on a CD and will be sending it to you. Hopefully, tomorrow... Mike
