Charles Daly Shotguns

Gus

Recommended Posts

Planning on getting a new 12 guage before turkey season and they have some Charles Daly 12s in Wal-Mart for decent prices. Never shot this brand or now anything about them, anybody have any opinions your willing to share with me, good or bad I would like to know.

The one I am looking at is a 12g, 3 inch chamber, 28 inch barrel and comes with a mod choke, but is interchangeable.

Re: Charles Daly Shotguns

I have a friend who is the manager of sporting goods in a super center. He said they get more returns on that gun than almost all other combined.

Personally, if I were spending that much on a shotgun I would get a good pump or get a used simi at a pawn shop.

Re: Charles Daly Shotguns

I have heard mixed reviews about the CD pump and semi shotguns. Like I have said before, I really like their o/u shotguns. But the pump or semi, I would rather buy a Mossberg 835 or Rem 870 Express. Its hard to beat the 835 for a turkey gun. I would think very hard about the 935 though.

Re: Charles Daly Shotguns

I looked at mossbergs website today after going to wally world and looking at guns there. They have a Mossberg 835 pump 24" barrel for right at $300. It has stamped on it that it will take 2 3/4, 3, or 3 1/2 shells. So I am now thinking about getting this gun.

I asked this same question about the charles daly guns on a few other sites and didn't get very good feedback. I would rather spend a little more money than to get a gun that is not very good.
