LifeNRA
My daughter and I went to see this movie last night. Certainly not what I expected. I thought this movie was going to be about the dog, which is why my daughter wanted to it. Instead, it was more about this guy who got a dog and his life! Having three kids, hard times, and switching jobs. Eventually, having to deal with the death of his dog. Personally, the movie could have been rated PG-13 due to some of the sexual content. I don't recommend this movie until it comes out in DVD or VHS, then rent it for $5 for everyone. The previews really looked good, but now seeing this movie. I should have saved my money. LifeNRA
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Good thing I had no intention of seeing this Hey, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that a family pet never lasts forever. I had a dog and many fish when I was little! Unfortunately, this happens everyday! I guess what I trying to say here is this. The previews show this lab, but its more about this guy!
jbeck
Thanks for the warning John, I think we'll skip that.
RangerClay
Thanks for the warning John, I think we'll skip that. Yeah thanks John. The previews certainly make it out to be an animal flick.
mrswtnhunt
Thanks for the warning John, I think we'll skip that. Thanks from here too. Had actually thought about taking the kids to see it. They really love dogs but I don't feel like explaining "stuff" to a 7 year old in the movie theatre.
Dawg
My mom took my son(7) to see it so I already knew. He called me and told me that the dog died and I was like, "well that's sad," to which he replied "Naw, cause he dies at the end of the movie." Looks like he's gonna have a soft heart like his dad. layin on the smackdown
Yep, the girlfriend and i went to see it on New years eve...we accidently walked into the right movie but wrong theater...caught the last hour of it and didn't even realize we missed anything...lol...just thougth we missed the first 10 minutes... basically, they have a dog, pop out 3 kids, move, dog dies, end of movie Who puts the same movie directly across the hall from one another anyway? If their goal was to make someone feel like a world class idiot, they succeeded...
Guest Swampman
I'm still trying to figure out what Jen had done to her face & why. She was one of the best looking women in Hollywood. Now she doesn't even look like the same person.

ruttinbuc
That dog got a lot of dollars into the theater though, didn't it? A lot of these movies are really over hyped.

dogdoc
Did anyone read the book? I read the book about 3 years or so ago. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know how close the movie follows the book the book was great. The book divided the story between the life of the family and the dog. LifeNRA
Did anyone read the book? I read the book about 3 years or so ago. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know how close the movie follows the book the book was great. The book divided the story between the life of the family and the dog. While at my daughter's basketball game today, someone said it did not compare to the book at all! They also seen the movie and thought the same as I. jm23494
Went to see it with my girlfriend since she just finished reading the book. She said that the movie does not compare to the book. They cut out some of the funniest stuff from the movie (surprise). Compared to some of the movies I've seen in the past it wasn't bad. Like Tink said it was a real tear jerker for anyone who has dogs.
