Guest Finn
Not that I was doing that well in the pool, but had huge points on Bama
Gator
I didn't get to see the game, but what DID happen? I really thought they'd be able to handle Utah. Wonder if they are gonna be the OU of the SEC??? But then look at Ole Miss and Texas Tech, didn't see that one coming either
JJL
Coach Nick didn't look very happy towards the end, he must have had one heck of a bonus riding on a Bowl win this year.......... Utah has claim to the National Championship this year, without a doubt. Undefeated Season combined with a Bowl Win over a previous #1 team.............. Here comes the calls for a true National Championship Playoff. It's definately needed.

Here comes the calls for a true National Championship Playoff. It's definately needed. I can not for the life of me understand why we don't have a playoff for college. Year after year some school gets dorked by the BCS Wouldn't they make money with a simple 4 team playoff?
JJL
It's really this simple Craig, and it's not about money this time. The people in charge are alumn's of......... Michigan Ohio State USC Alabama Oklahoma Texas Florida FSU and other Big Name Schools................ If a Utah or Texas Tech we're to win a National Championship Playoff, it would surely take some of the shine off of their trophies. The money to these people means very little, it's about the prestige that come with being an alumn of an overrated school that means everything to them. Think about the Undefeated Miami Dolphins..............It's ALL that these guys have left. If NE wins the Super Bowl last season it's OVER for those guys. If a playoff system is put in place in the NCAA and "non-prestigous" teams were to win.................. That 25 year old trophy is quite as valuable anymore is it. rhine16
What happened to bama??? Simple. Utah wanted it more. According to ESPN, some 94% of votes were for Bama. What did the Utes have to lose??? That's the beauty of sports!
Tominator
They got their tails kicked. Awesome game, I was grinning quite a bit. There was a part of me that did want to see Utah get beat, just because I didn't want to see any team go undefeated, but I wasn't upset that Saben got beat. buckbuster11
Ok, Utah is the only team in the country that is 13-0. They beat Michigan (before we knew Michigan was a disaster), Oregon State, TCU, BYU, and Alabama. How many teams have a better resume then/than that? Not many...if any at all. Thats 3 top 15 teams including 1 that was ranked #1 in the country for most of the year. That's 3 out of the last 4 years Utah or Boise State beat a big time opponent in a BCS bowl and went undefeated. Maybe it's about time we take some of these schools a little more serious. FireStrut
Utah came to play and Bama didn't, period. I knew when Utah went up 21 to 0, that Bama didn't have a chance. Great season for the Tide anyway, no one thought we would get this far. It should be one heck of a ride next year. Roll Tide!!
The_Kat
Utah should share the national championship....plan and simple. Anyone who argues they shouldn't needs to pull their heads out their butts. Congrats to them. A playoff system will not happen in college football. It is a money issue. It is moreso a scheduling and season length issue as well. I am all for playoffs, but no way it's coming. Congrats Utes!
rhine16
Utah should share the national championship....plan and simple. Anyone who argues they shouldn't needs to pull their heads out their butts. Then I need my head pulled out of my butt. No way Utah hangs with Florida, Oklahoma, Texas or USC. For that matter Texas Tech, Georgia, LSU, Penn State or Ole Miss. Alabama was a disaster waiting to happen in my opinion. They squeaked by so many teams that a team with their record and ranking should've handled easily. Just my .

Everybody says what you just said every year about Utah or Boise or whoever goes undefeated out there and almost every year they go to a BCS game and beat one of the big guns. What else do they have to do?

The_Kat
Utah had a top notch schedule. Every bit as tough as floridas. Ole Miss....are you serious? Texas Tech...maybe, OU and Texas, who knows. Bama won alot of games everyone said they would lose against the best in the country. Utah did the same but never lost. Any team that has their schedule ( I believe it was 4 Victories over top 15 teams ) and goes undefeated and beats the former #1 team in a BCS bowl game deserves part of the title. muggs
It's a shame Utah can't have the opportunity to play for a championship because the powers that be just refuse to give these guys that chance. Saban stinks...I'm always happy to see bad guys lose badly.
RalfZabotskowitz
This is my first post, I've been a lurker for a long time. I'm, from eastern Utah. Looks to me like my Utes just opened a can of whoop on Bama. We were the better team and should have a legitimate shot at the title. We won't get it of course because of where we're from. regards, RZ
Texan_Til_I_Die
I agree that for the most part, schools like Utah and Boise State don't get the credit they deserve. But they know how the system works. If they want a legitimate chance at #1 they need to schedule some powerhouses for non conference games. Take down two teams from the USC/Texas/Oklahoma/Ohio State/Florida etc group, then go undefeated in conference play, and they'll get a shot at the BCS Title Game.
