BBHPETE
I'm considering purchasing an electronic call for hunting coyotes here in western Pa. I don't know much about them and don't want to waste money trying to figure out which ones are good. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
bruse
I got a prey master for $99 bucks. It worked really good for several seasons. The only thing I dont like about it is the cord for the speaker stays tangled up. I am saving for a fox pro fx3. I would go with a cordless model but they do cost more. bruse
oneshot
I have a Fox Pro 3 and I'm going to upgrade to a Fox Pro 5. These are the best on the market.
Strut10
I built my own from stuff I got at Wal Mart and Radio Shack. Works fine on western PA 'yotes.
csualumni21000
Strut, details?

Two $10 portable CD players from Wally World (1 would do......I just like having to not switch discs while calling). A megaphone type speaker, 50 feet of speaker wire (and a splitter for the 2 disc palyers) and a 9V amplifier (has a roller/wheel on-off-volume control) from Radio Shack. I keep the whole deal in a camcorder bag. There's room for CD's and extra batteries in the side-zip compartments.
Grady269
I don't see why you could not just use an I-Pod?

Would just depend on the power output & if it was sufficient to push that much cable and the speaker.
captkb44
I just recently got my hands on a Compu_Caller III from Burnham Brothers and it works great. The sound quality is top notch, could stand to be a tad bit louder but still has good quality sound...............no distortion. I have used the FoxPro FX5 FX3 and Scorpion and they all work very well. I had issues with the remote on the FX3 working when IT wanted to, even with fresh batteries. It is frustrating when a remote decides to stop working in the middle of a stand and the caller only 25 yds in front of you.
