i've never had bear. one of the few animals i haven't eaten. you're cooking it like liver. if it tastes like liver, i'm out. but it sure does look good

cooking in like venison backstrap. I can't stand liver either, bear tastes great :)

I had some about 60 years ago and I can still smell it! The dog wouldn't touch it after we threw it out in the snowbank! UGH!!

I used to think like that too....when I was a kid, people would shoot bear and drive around showing them off before they cut them up.

Bear meat spoils very fast and you must get the heat out of the body soon as possible. This bear was brought directly from the woods to the meat plant, so it cooled right away. Makes a huge difference. :cool:
