need2hunt
So the new hunting shows started airing last week on the Outdoor channel and I'm sure there are plenty of things to talk about. So what new shows are you all watching and what kind of reviews do you have of each of them - be honest (but not brutal ), lets here the good and the bad. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
The ones I have seen are: Bone Collectors, The Crush with Lee and Tiffany, and She's Beyond the Lodge. So far they all seem pretty good. The Crush with Lee and Tiffany is just like their other show Gettin Close, but I read on AT (posted by Tiffany) that this show is going to start out the same, but as they more into it there will be some changes to it. Bone Collectors seems like a spin-off type show of Road Trips, but I like the fact that T-bone and Nick Mundt are involved, I had been wondering when wacky Ole Nick was going to get a chance in the spotlight, that guy is a riot. She's beyond the Lodge was pretty good, a show devoted entirely to women hunters who know how to get it done in the woods. Overall I really enjoyed these 3 shows and look forward to what they have in the future. What are some other shows that are new??
PotashRLS
Started to watch Beyond the Lodge until it was an exotic hunt, then I changed the channel. If they want something elite, lets see them go after Grizzlies or something. I think they previewed a Moose hunt though, and that I would certainly watch. I don't plan to watch TV. If I catch a show I catch it, if I miss it I miss it. Just no time to schedule TV time.
Dawg
I've seen Bone Collector and liked it for the most part. I think Waddell is a trip and adding T Bone and Mundt to the mix only helped! Of course Waddell could host the 133rd Annual Westminster Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show and it would be fun to watch!
RangerClay
I have seen "The Crush" and "Bone Collectors" As said before, "The Crush" is same old Lee and Tiffany. I got more entertaiment from their new commercials. If I have to watch Gary LaVox one more time, I am going to puke. Seems like he is in their camp every weekend. "Bone Collectors" was a let down for me. I was expecting something new and different. Then to be filming two different shows at the same time in the same camp (Roadtrips and Bone Collectors). It is kinda insulting to the viewers. "Welcome to my brand new show but I will be off somewhere else filming my other show." Please! "Bone Collectors" felt like a Roadtrips knock-off to me. Same show style with different faces. Basically the show is Roadtrips with different theme music. IMO, I think they would have had better success if they gave Nick and T-Bone the show on their own. Hey Gary, when will we see something new from Ralph & Vicky?? I really enjoy their show.

unioncountyslayer
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what MORE can you do to make a show "New"? I actually liked Bone Collector. For me, it's the way the show is produced, the likability of the host/hunters, and the diversity of hunting locations. Some of the shows on the Outdoor Channel are still very amatuer in my opinion (like they've been shot on home video). That's my $.
Chrud
Not new for 2009, but it was a new show for the second half of 2008. "In-Pursuit with Greg Miller" is probably the best hunting show I've seen. It is the only hunting show I've gone out of my way to watch. The "Zooming In" segment is pretty cool. There is great information about the setups they used and why they worked. The "From the Pages Of" segment is great. Usually 3-5 minutes of great whitetail behavior information and/or hunting tips. Can't say you get that from many other shows. "In-Pursuit" isn't a celebrity driven show like a lot of new shows. It shows some behind-the-scenes stuff, but not much. And, it isn't a kill, kill, kill show. Two hunts and several minutes of hunting how-to and information on deer behavior. I wasn't too impressed with "Bone Collectors" or "The Crush." When "Road Trips" first came out, all the behind the scenes stuff was pretty cool. Now, it seems like these shows are 1/2 airport and travel footage, 1/4 talking in a barn and 1/4 hunting. I like Lee and Tiffany, but their show has gotten a little too "Hollywood" for me. Seems like the amount of hunting footage decreases with each episode. ruttinbuc
I'd have to agree that the new shows are pretty much the same. I liked She's Beyond the Lodge for the way it was produced. Very watchable show. Don't mind where they hunt as long as they are hunting. I saw that Gary LaVoux hunt (deer) footage before somewhere. The show is a little different with Lee and Tiffany taking care of the narration now. Bone Collecters was OK. I enjoy T-bones humor, but it was pretty much old hat. New Year, new Bows, new cameras, new special effects, but same old same old. Tom McMillan is becoming a regular lately.. In-Pursuit with Greg Miller is a good show, Chrud...I agree! I have to agree 100%...I like every part of that show except having to wait through the introduction for it to start:D You said not to be brutal...OK I liked the explainations of not being ashamed to be hunters...from The Bone Collectors. Other than that to me it was a RoadTrips show. I'll have to TIVO the "Beyond the Lodge" show to see what thats all about....anything to increase my Wifes appreciation of the sport I'm in 1,000% for;)
HUNTINGMAN
Iliked the beyond the lodge show, bone collector and and the new lee and tiffany show are the same old thing with diferent names. In persuit and north american whitetail along with anyof the primos shows are my favorite shown.I like to see more hunting and setup tecnique than all the goofing off.Dont get me wrong I like to have a good time as much as anyone but when I am watching the pros I want them to teach me something I dont know.Greg Miller,Stan Potts, and Will Primos are by far my favorite to watch. G Gary, I got to watch this mornings episode and I liked it. I really prefer to see Ralph & Vicky hunt than the posse, but still a good show. I did not like watching the guy hunting out of the big green tree fort. That was not deer hunting to me. If he was in Sask. in December that would be different. I hate watching people hunt out of those things. What was cool was seeing the young boy Hunter brought to tears with hunting adrenline. That I enjoyed!! I'm off to enter the Lucky Logo contest. Good hunting Joe
wtnhunt
I started to watch the "She's beyond the Lodge" show, but shut the living room tv off, think I got on the computer for a little while. "Bone Collectors" was just OK for me, not really all that great. I like Michael and I like the other people on the show just fine, just something about the show, actually think I like RT roadtrips shows better. The outtakes and cutting up in the shows is fun to see, but think the producers need to be a bit careful about not filling the show more full of that footage than they do of actual hunting footage, and guess that was why "Bone Collectors" was just OK with me. I was pretty tired when I watched it, but seemed to me like there was a lot less footage in the woods, which is what should make up the majority of the time in the shows.
