Equalizer
I shoot the bowtech alligience and i love it!! it is super quiet and smooth and it spits the arrows out pretty fast. the 82nd airbourne is also very nice
AdvantageTimberLou
Ross makes a great bow, the only thing that worries me is all the dealings between G5 and Ross in the past. Just hope it all works out for Ross. Myself, I would look at the Hoyts, Bowtechs, and Mathews, all great bows. Best bet is to try several side by side and get a feel for it. Good luck! RangerClay
Best bet is to try several side by side and get a feel for it. Good luck! Great advice right there! Shoot what feels comfortable. I shoot a Mission bow. It is made by Mathews. It has many of the Mathews features and their lifetime warantee but at a lower cost.
fly
I know if I were getting a new bow and I did not have to worry about money I'd be looking at Hoyt and Matthews. Up until recently I would have swayed towards the "dark side" (Matthews), but today I'm leaning more towards Hoyt. Tomorrow I may go back to the dark side? Every bow I've owned (2) have been made by bear. I currently use an old TRX that Bill Jodan used to use. I really like it and have killed about a dozen deer with it. Currently Bear has teamed with Primos and they have some good bows out there for the money (at least that's what I have heard).

unioncountyslayer
I've shot a Mathews for about 6 years now and love it. I can't ever see myself buying another brand, but there are some other good ones out there. My advice, go shoot a number of different bows, and buy the one you are most comfortable with. HUNTINGMAN
I love my Switchback XT but after looking at an Admaril by bowtech I may go back to them if I bought a new bow.

High Country
Today, most bows are set up so similar that I think the brand is not particularly important...as long as you are talking Matthews/Mission, Hoyt/Reflex, Bowtech/Diamond, etc. All of them are fast, quiet and reliable. The best thing to do is to go to a store that will allow you to handle and shoot all of them...if price is not an issue choose the one that you shoot the best or that feels the best. I am currently shooting a 9 year old High Country single cam...it is super fast and very comfortable for me...if I were to choose a new one, it would be Diamond's Black Ice. Switchback29A1
Shoot them all..but buy a mathews lol
wildthing
I just bought myself a new Bowtech General for Christmas. It is silk smooth...fast, no handshock what so ever! Take my advice...I went and shot all of the new bows out like Matthews DXT and Drenalin, Hoyt's Katera, and PSE's XForce...then I shot the BowTech General last...WOW...it wasn't even a comparison! If you do that...you'll be coming home with the same bow in the truck like I did.
TREESTANDSNYPER
Do yourself a favor, and at least go shoot the 09 Martin's. The Warthog, Firehawk, and Firecat are awesome bows. They have really stepped up their game this year big time. Also if you get a chance shoot the new Rytera AlienX. This is a pic of it in red but the camo one is just as nice. redkneck
I'm shooting a Fred Bear at the moment. but go with unioncountyslayers advice, go out and shoot! Lots of good ones to choose from. I really wanted a bowtech, but picked up a fred bear that was one year old on ebay (still new in the box) for half the price of a new one. Bass pro shop here has lots of bows they'll let you shoot, including a lot that they dont even have in thier catalog.
tectonic007
I have been shooting a Hoyt Magnatech for years. Loved it. Last year I switched to a PSE X-Force. With my bow outfitted, my arrow speed went from 263 feet per second with the Hoyt to 311 feet per second with the X-force. I am really liking the x-force right now.
