Doe-ee
A Canadian soldier has been charged with 2nd degree murder for killing a taliban in Afganistan. What do you think? wtnhunt
Think there is too much not known for me to really say what I think Dianna. If the soldier dispatched the enemy in battle I guess whether the enemy was unarmed or not may be a question, but we do not know all the details, was the enemy fighter potentially threatening or was there possibly danger to come from leaving the enemy alive. Did the Canadian soldier kill the enemy fighter so he would not suffer his mortal wounds? Guess maybe some of those questions may be answered when the soldier does tell his side of the story. Doe-ee
I would definitely want you on my jury.
ruttinbuc
Indeed, too many questions. One of them being the witness to the incident who brought the charges.
Doe-ee
Another good jury member!
OJR
Way too many loose ends to form any opinion at this time! I don't understand the time lag before this was reported! Something smells about that!
stevebeilgard
i saw two nicely dressed, clean folks who had a pleasant interview. and i'll bet neither of them have been shot at. i have. things are different when someone wants you dead. that soldier did the right thing. of course, there is VERY limited information here. but here's the real point. we're headed for shiria law. that's right. the muslims are taking over here in america, in canada, all of europe, and the world. we need to punish our soldiers (remember kerry and murdo and all the soldiers who killed civilians, raped women, and destroyed villages) for any reason. get rid of them! now. we need the religion of peace to run our courts. and yes, doe ee, you sure as **** need me on your jury. INNOCENT. but i still want more information. now, for the world view... how many think this same thing and worse, didn't happen in ww1? or ww2? or korea? or vietnam? or, or or, ? i tended to get a bit angry when i was fired at. and i still lose sleep. this soldier knows full well his head will be separated from his body if the roles were reversed. good for him. i hope he did shoot the enemy, and i wish him well and hope he gets off. we are at war, boys & girls. wake up. now, if i were a bit smarter with my editing, i'd have moved this to the political room. (dang, all these buttons i can't work.) but i'm not, and maybe here is where it needs to stay.

RalfZabotskowitz
It's a different world when you are on the sharp end. Threat removal is a much different concept. Good shot. RZ
