Thank you. Yea I'm all for that point restriction it has really helped our deer on our farm anyway. I'm a barber by trtade and there are alot of guys that come in and they hate it. I try to convince them it's a good thing and now I can show them what can happen if they are patient and let the deer mature.

Missouri 2008 deer

Nice buck! I live about a hour from there and I know point restrictions have helped. I used to rarely find antler drops, now I find an average of 1 an hour! "Shoot a doe and let 'um grow" has been my philosophy for the last 15 years. It makes a difference. I am now shooting a mature deer with my bow almost every year. I pass on Pope & Young deer every year... point restictions are helping!

Story

Well my dad and I got into the stand late that afternoon about 3:45. We had been there about 30 min. when I looked to the east up the hill in the corn feild and there was a deer. Got the binocs out he was a scrubby 8. We were watching him and here come another deer 10 point this time, then another deer, doe, and another 10 point, then another doe. They were just feeding in the cut cornfield. We sat there and discussed about what to do and decided I should take one of the does. I was getting into position and we noticed they all kept looking back over their shoulders. That's when he came out. New game plan, I thought, there was no discusion, he was the one to take. so I put the crosshairs on him took a couple deep breaths and let my 7 mag bark. Down he went instantly. Luckiest shot I think I've ever made. Spine shot. 196 yards. 30 minutes in the stand. Done deal. Right spot, right time. Nobody had ever seen him before on our farm. Or at least said they hadn't, but it doesn't matter now cause he's goin to be hangin on my wall. HaHa.

I was practicing my barbering skills this morning as my broadhead gave a coyote a nice hair cut.:D

That's a giant alright. Livingston County Mo you say...

That boy must be a great swimmer getting across the Mississippi from IL (where all the really big dear are).:D

Congratulations.
