silvertip_co
Plan a ride to see the Grand Canyon over spring break. Would like to see south rim of course, but also want to look over north rim and the Kaibab in case I get to hunt there in fall. What can you tell me about the Kaibab and where do I go to see it and scout around. One of the 5 days we are there will be spent scouting mulies etc. Thanks. RalfZabotskowitz
The north rim is rather high in altitude, around 8500', so bring your snow boots for March dates. It's always a good idea to get an idea of the layout of the land but scouting it in March may lead to misconceptions of where to find deer during the fall. It's a beautiful area most especially when there aren't very many tourists, like when you are going. Ralf
stevebeilgard
lots of great country there, charlie. headquarter yourself in payson and you are 20 minutes away from the big deer country. lots of elk in there, too. but you really can't do anything in one day but get a general idea. i'm going through there in february. have fun
JJL
Don't know much about the Kaibab, however, I can give you one bit of advice. Leave the three-wheeler at home, or at least get some help unloading it.:D Take care Charlie
