WVdeerhunter Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 Ive got 3 two 5 acers that im going two plant soybean and cowpeas in these year and i have around 20 two 25 deer coming in the field right now do u think that it will get started good or will they keep it eat up? wtnhunt Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 If you were planting an eagle seeds blend, I would have no doubt it would do fine, those blends have really impressed me. Have gotten away with mini plots with beans and peas here and they have done fairly well. On that size plot you should have a good chance at getting some good forage, that many deer will likely eat their favorite spots to the ground, but if you time it right and the plot takes off good I would think it should be able to maintain with that many deer.
