LifeNRA
Cool! I wish the ice here would get thicker! I have a ton of ice fishing equipment and hardly the ice to use it!
muggs
Nice pics Shaun. Wish I could get out there, might be able to soon. We sure can't fish the rivers here, not nearly cold enough to freeze them up that thick. Nice heater too. I need one of those.

Yeah, that would not be good. I've been ice fishing in Canada a few times and there were people flying around on snowmobiles... craig mack
Hows the water clarity Shaun? I went to St Clair yesterday and the water looked like milk!!!! We caught 2 dink perch and that was it. With the current, how is it with your bait as far as getting it to the bottom ( straight up and down). Do you have to use some heavy sinkers or is it not a problem?

Do you have to use some heavy sinkers or is it not a problem? The Ottawa River is fairly clear for a river, where we're at there's hardly any current at all so you don't need heavy sinkers to get the bait down. Golden Lake, where I do the rest of my fishing is VERY clear, inside the shack you can see bottom in 10-11 feet as clear as a bell. This is the shack in Golden Lake, in the video you can see the pike swimming by the bait. Water clarity in the big hole, 8-9 feet of water. craig mack
Nice!!! I love that clear water. On my Dads lake (Burt) we fish in 24 fow and can see the bottom, but I go to Lake St Clair and you cant see the bottom in 5 fow.

Believe it or not, there wasn't anything else other than good ole Tim Horton's coffee in those cups. :D
