mainebuck
My frustration with this company goes on and on. You may recall me posting a few weeks ago about sending my TRX bow off for repair. Well, it got back to my house yesterday. Cam and limb bolt were replaced as expected. The downside - they did not replace the string as they told me they would. They admitted it was never served properly originally and agreed to replace it, never happened. Also, when I shipped this bow I wrapped the limbs, cam, riser with bubble wrap and pipe insulation foam, and packed it in packing popcorn. I got it back yesterday in a plastic bag, like a trashbag, inside a box with no packing whatsoever. It was bouncing around. Not only that, but the box was not even taped shut. It had a cardboard tab on the top holding it shut. If I'd of turned it upside down and shook the box it would have fallen out. To say the least I'm utterly disgusted with this company and their customer service. I called back today and they're sending me a call tag to have it picked up for shipping. That means I have to re-pack the thing and wait another 2 or 3 weeks and hope they put a string on it. Not to mention wondering whether it will make it back in one piece. I told the guy on the phone if it comes back packed in the same fashion I'm dropping it off the roof of my house and the shipping insurance can replace the **** thing. JimT
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga continues Wow. Sorry to hear that man. They suck it seems for sure. We should go to Kittery. Hoyts are on sale. JimT wants a pump rifle.

MCH
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga continues I tried contacting someone at Escalade three times via e-mail last year with no response. The shock-stopper cable glide busted on my TRX. I installed a Sims cable glide and it's worked fine so far. Now, my serving is wearing badly down by the cam. Not sure why, but I dropped it off at the pro shop last week. Got it back today. Don't get me wrong, I love the bow. It shoots great. Quiet, fast. I harvested three deer with it last year. But when it comes time to purchase a new one.......I won't look at Fred Bear/Escalade sports for a new one. Hope your situation gets better. If you want to start a picket line, just holler at me.... MadHuntinPastor
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga continues [ QUOTE ] We should go to Kittery. [/ QUOTE ] That brings fond memories. I vacation almost every year up in Portsmouth, NH. As a kid I LOVED to go in there and look at all the animals, especially the HUGE moose!!! Wait.....I STILL love to go in and look at the animals!!! Now I'm just jealous that they aren't on my wall. Good luck with your bow. Maybe meet you guys up there some day. Eat some fried clams at Bob's Clam Hut while you are there for me!!

mainebuck
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga continues MCH, that serving wear by the cam you referred to is similar to my problem. The serving down by the cam is very fat, not very tight. I, and the local pro shop guy, believe that is what caused the cam to bend. I've already paid the $60 to replace the cam. They agreed to throw in the string, but as I said, "forgot" to. I told the guy yesterday, they've done absolutely nothing to make me even consider being a repeat customer. Everything is a hassle with them. BTW, their shock stopper cable glide sux anyway. I replaced mine when I first got the bow. The alpine slide glide is sweet. MCH
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga continues Life...Fred Bear makes the TRX...Escalade Sports bought out Fred Bear and its other products. They're more into the business side of things rather than the customer side. Maine....I got my bow back yesterday. The guy at the pro shop re-served it for me because he said my string looked good and he said I could wait to get new cables when I purchase a new string. His serving job is a lot fatter than the original serving. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it affects my cam. Haven't shot it yet but will tonight. archerjg
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga contin Sorry to hear of your experience. I hope that you can get it fixed properly. I personally have not had any problems with their service. I will probably buy from another company when I get a new bow though, as they are not keeping up with the competition in my view and the bows no longer fit me well. mainebuck
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga contin I noticed that too about the hops from place to place. The repair facility is in Gainesville, FL. The person I actually spoke on the phone to who was respnosible for my bow being repaired is in Indiana. No wonder it didn't get fixed right. MCH
Re: Escalade Sports customer service - saga contin That was my main beef with them. I never received a reply back from them. So I put a Sims glide on and basically put my bow up for sale. The next time you get a chance, go look at the TRX's for sale on E-bay! Brand new bows going for $270! I got mine for 399! These are great bows. Mine consistently shoots 270. I've harvested three deer with it. Quiet, fast. $270? It's the fact that Escalade is behind the bows that have driven them down so far.
