brownie65
we got our 90 day notice yesterday. I am working midnights so wasn't there. Knew they were having a big meeting yesterday, we all knew why, one of my buddies called me to confirm it. If anybody has any leads or knows of anything in the green energy field, windmills, powerplants or something like that, I am ready to go. Have until April 15 but I am going as soon as I can find something else. That is if I can find something.

ruttinbuc
Good luck to you and your family, Kevin. A lot of hard working people are taking the hit. I have followed a few leads, but there is a lot of competition for those jobs. I'll let you know if I find anything.

crazylegz70
Hey buddy, I dont know if you are thinking about relocating but I live a couple hours from you in Illinois and I know there is a windmill plant that started in the last year about 15 minutes from my house. (siemens) If you want some info, it is actually located in Keokuk, Iowa but I have a few friends that work there...pay is pretty good from what i hear....just a thought
Texan_Til_I_Die
TONS of wind turbines going up between Abilene and Lubbock, Texas. No problem finding a job, especially if you have prior experience. A quick search found a company called AES with 16 open positions. EON is also a major player in the area. http://www.employmentspot.com/job-results/?keywords=AES+Wind+Generation If you ever do move to Texas, get ready for some culture shock. It ain't like living "up north."
