Strut10 Posted January 17, 2009 Report Share Posted January 17, 2009 It's my understanding that the .280AI is pretty much the ballistic equivalent to the 7mm Rem Mag only in a standard boltface action. I have a couple of friends that shoot Coopers chambered in that round and they swear it's the best thing since sliced bread. It achieves about the same ballistics as the 7mm Rem mag but uses less powder to do so. As Strut has stated Nosler now makes factory brass for it now due their pushing the M48 which is chambered in the 280 Imp. Good luck with it!
