I spent 3-4 hours yesterday scraping stuff off my mount...finally Andy and I decided to cut the jaw off...too much stuff to mess with and we wanted to mount it like our neighbor's, so we marked it and cut it off...still has stuff to scrape off and it kinds still smells funky, lol.

Good luck Chris, can't wait to see some photos!

Kind of worried about the fact that the stuff was freezing as I was spreading it on. It really didn't smell too bad as I was mixing it up and putting it on. Wondering if I should have gone ahead and done this inside as opposed to the garage.

I mixed according to the instructions, and half of the mix was more than enough for one skull. In fact, half the mix could probably come close to doing two skulls. I had my '02 buck in the garage (the one where the dog took out of my garage and chewed the nose off ), so I did that one too. It will be a good experiment because that one had a little sinew and dark coloring on it.

Fresh snow on, so I'm thinking of walking out back for a rabbit tonight. I'll check the skulls when I get done with that.

I don't think so, but you would have to produce the tag if the law wanted to see it.

I have one buddy who refuses to keep his tag on the mounts, and one who keeps them on. Personally, I keep them on.

That is kind of interesting, what happens if you move to Ohio from elsewhere that does not require you to keep the tags and you have several mounts?

Don't think I have tags for any of my mounts, actually think my taxidermist kept them, I don't remember ever getting tags back with any of my mounts.:o
