Tominator
I already admitted I MIGHT be wrong--what do you want from me AF? He has 2 more games to prove me right. Who knows, he might get knocked silly in the Super Bowl or Pro Bowl and call it quits. Or.... He might want to go out on top, and this would be an excellent opportunity. Hey, at least I didn't say it on national TV. Anyone here what Shannon Sharpe had to say aboooot Paloshamalamadingdong?

unioncountyslayer
That dude is a freak of nature. Any team would profit from having him on the field. I love watching him play. He plays all out on every play!
muggs
I watched him up over the middle of the dline when the Ravens had the ball near the ballline. That allowed McGahee to run untouched into the endzone to his side of the field. If the guy actually played his position he would have made that tackle. Matter of fact, I've seen him do that whole time the snap and jump over the line thing about 6 times in games I've watched and it's worked once...

punkinslinger
There is a little girl from my home town who has cancer and is in and out of a Pitts. hospital all the time that Troy visits every chance he has. I have pics sent to me almost weekly of her and him playing Guitar Rock and such. He is an awesome individual!!!

Great franchise...it's easy to maintain continuity when your Owner doesn't move the club. Anyway, hey man, if you enjoy watching your safety give up easy touchdowns because he's too busy jumping over the line for absolutely no reason...who am I to say you can't enjoy yourself. If it was me, I'd rather just see the guy play his position instead of doing weird stuff to get himself noticed by the camera.

How many easy TD's did your Brownies safeties give up this year?
muggs
\ He's in the Super Bowl DB...for the 2nd time. How many easy TD's did your Brownies safeties give up this year? Too many. But I don't defend them where they're out of position. You give up easy TDs because you're jumping into the line for no reason and you could very easily be out of the Super Bowl DB. Matter of fact, that touchdown made it really close. He made a nice INT to secure the win...not coincidentally...he was IN position for that play. Moral of the story, when you're in position, good things happen. When you're out of position jumping into the line when your opponent is running a sweep to your side of the field...bad things happen. You can bet the Ravens OC said "run a sweep to Troy's side of the field...I bet he's gonna jump into the line."

That was a Big stop in the game. You're always going to give up some plays when you gamble like that, but people remember guys that gamble on defense and make a big play. I guess when you aren't used to seeing a team that is actually capable of winning, that might happen.

I guess when you aren't used to seeing a team that is actually capable of winning, that might happen. The guy flies around haphazardly...sometimes that allows him to make plays, other times he's so out of position he gives up easy TDs- like he did on the McGahee run (the second one). You can't argue with that...well, you get argue with that unbiasedly...unfortunately, I think you're biased.
texastrophies
How do you know he is out of position? Maybe he is where the D.C. wants him or called for him to be in that lineup.
muggs
How do you know he is out of position? Maybe he is where the D.C. wants him or called for him to be in that lineup. Because jumping over the line of scrimmage isn't where you want your safety...in case they do run a sweep. You have DTs and MLBs who can handle the middle...stick to your assignment and stop trying to live up to your image of this wild man. I tell you one thing, you can bet he was exactly where the Ravens O.C. wanted him to be on that play. Willis McGahee probably enjoyed his positioning on that play as well. Hey look, an intelligent football comment. Take notes muggs. When you lead the league interceptions and make the biggest play of the season in the AFC Championship game you might be doing something right. When you lead the league interceptions and make the biggest play of the season in the AFC Championship game you might be doing something right. He makes plays...that's for sure and that's also why I mentioned that above. But it's easy to take risks and blow assingments when you have the best defense in the NFL around you. He gives up plays because he's out of position all the time. That's just a fact. Does he get away with it...sometimes...other times he doesn't. Eventually, he'll get burned at the wrong time (like he did last year in Jacksonville) and it costs them. Imagine how good he'd be if he could hone in those instints and just play disciplined football.

Heavy Metal
That dude is a freak of nature. Yes he is, don't care for the Steelers and HATE USC, but that guy BRINGS it! Why in the world would we be talking about the end of his career. He was drafted with Carson Palmer if I'm not mistaken or the year after?! He's got allot left.
