muggs
BTW, I think the Cards win by 7. I could see it. But I just don't know. The experience of the Steelers and Warner's propensity to fumble when hit (and they'll hit him) scares me. I think it should be a decent game though. Heavy Metal
I could see it. But I just don't know. The experience of the Steelers and Warner's propensity to fumble when hit (and they'll hit him) scares me. I think it should be a decent game though. Well he got hit plenty last week and cheap shotted up the wazzoo and he never flinched. I think the killer instinct has taken over at this point for Warner. But you're not wrong in saying he's had issues under pressure the last 4 years....but I don't know of another quarterback that doesn't get happy feet under that kind of pressure. Roth...that guy is capable of making bonehead mistakes everytime he drops back. You see that shovel pass last week that sailed away on him? I was like, WTH was that? But I think it will be a good game. The real battle is going to be the Cards Offense vs. Steelers D. The bottom line is the Steelers offense is average at best, the Cards defense is good/above average. But the Cards offense is dangerous on all fronts with a Super Bowl MVP in the drivers seat. The Steelers D is awesome. So we shall see!
buckbuster11
He makes plays...that's for sure and that's also why I mentioned that above. But it's easy to take risks and blow assingments when you have the best defense in the NFL around you. He gives up plays because he's out of position all the time. That's just a fact. Does he get away with it...sometimes...other times he doesn't. Eventually, he'll get burned at the wrong time (like he did last year in Jacksonville) and it costs them. Imagine how good he'd be if he could hone in those instints and just play disciplined football. LOL...I guess you called about LeBeau and asked him where everybody was supposed to be on that play huh? Polamalu plays like 9 different positions a game. He's all over the place. That's what they want him to do. Some of the plays you think he is blowing is him trying to cover for somebody elses mistake. Do you really think Polamalu is running around out ther paying no attention to what the defensive calls are on every single play? C'mon muggsbow. Tominator
Why in the world would we be talking about the end of his career. He was drafted with Carson Palmer if I'm not mistaken or the year after?! He's got allot left. Nope. He's "don" (read Pittstahn accent there). Don after this year, or next. 2009, last season for Palomolooramalamadingdong
ruttinbuc
I won't count the Cardinals out. The Philadelphia defense won't, either. As far as Palawalladingo goes the man gets burned a lot from what I see. Sure he makes a play now and then, but so does everyone else on the field. PAhunter14
That's my point. OK, so you agree that on that play he might have been where he was supposed to be? And if it was so obvious that he was going to do that, why didnt they call a sweep play on the 4th and 1 play?
Heavy Metal
All I know is I can't wait for the first Fitzgerald/TP rendezvous....gonna be fireworks in this one!!! CBS even mentioned that if Polamalu didnt play, Lebeau wouldnt be able to run certain defensive schemes. Ya, he just runs around and hopes to get lucky. So, you think he was out of position on a play, but hes still the best safety in the league.
