IllinoisArcher
Im looking at placing my bow in the classifieds, but I am not sure how to go about shipping something like that? Can i just take the bow to a shipping place and have them box it for me? and how much would it cost
ruttinbuc
Yes, you could do that. Cost depends on where it is going and how much it weighs no matter how you do it. The shipping place would be best. Edited January 19, 2009 by ruttinbuc
USAFbowhunter
the easiest way to ship it is to get a cheap hard case and just ship it in that. Put zip ties on instead of locks and insure it and just tape the address on the case. Shipping will be under $50. I shipped my bow to Iraq and back like that and it worked great. craig mack
I sold a bow on here and what I did was, I went to my pro shop and got a box from them (from a bow that they had shipped to them) and packed the bow with newspaper and other soft material and shipped it as fragile. I cant remember how much it cost.

preacherman
If you get a box from your pro shop and package it yourself and then take it to UPS (not a UPS store - they will charge you out the ear) you should be under $30 to ship it, insured, anywhere in the lower 48 states! slughunter
I just shipped a bow to kyle (the_Kat) in a box from a archery shop. Ended up costing 25.00 to ship it priority with insurance through USPS. Not too bad. -shane
hutchies
Yep, These guys are right. I've shipped quiet a few bows. I have old bow boxes from the shop laying at the house. I just put them in the box and use newspaper or some foam peanuts if I have any. Normally in the $20 to $25 range and that is insured for the amount of the bow and delivery confirmation.
