Bansner Rifles

Mark builds good rifles and gets a good deal of press for it. As has already been mentioned.......he's awfully proud of his stuff and the pricetag reflects it. I can't see myself investing from 3 to 6 times the money in a rifle to have it shoot (maybe) a little better than the guns my own smith has accurized for me. 'Course I don't have the Bansner nameplate to drop among the fellers at the range.

Certainly very nice rifles, and he has earned a reputation of buliding great light weight sheep rifles but as Strut stated the prices are just crazy. I once fondled and seriously thought about getting a 375 H&H Banser that belonged to a tv hunter but wound up going another direction.

I know a couple guys that have had some work done by him and have been very satisfied. I recently saw his brochure and looked at the website and my heart almost stopped at the prices he is asking. I agree with Strut- can't see spending all that money for just a little bit better and since I couldn't care less about a name-his name adds little value to me. Check out Hart Rifles http://www.rwhart.com/. I know allot of guys have had them build top notch guns and aren't paying the money Basner wants.
