We are over run with Hogs here.. So for the last few weeks me and a buddy of mine have been runnin' this trap...

When I first seen this trap I thought we weren't going to catch anything...

So far we have been pretty successful at it...

Well we have 2 more traps in the makin' as I speak...

Good luck with getting the hogs under control, they sure can tear some stuff up. During the holidays a couple of cousins and I hunted the hogs pretty hard on my place and shot several. The last couple of weeks I have not gotten any pictures of them on the game cams or seen any fresh signs, but they will come back in a month or so, so we will start in after them again. They sure are a blast to hunt and it is always fun to go and check the traps and find one or more caught.

I think a hog forum would be good. They're sorta come and go at my camp. A couple of years ago they got bad and i built a trap and caught about 8 in two weeks. Sometimes you'd catch a sow, and the little ones would be running around outside the cage and then it's .22 time! hahah at any rate, you cant get rid of them but most ppl can manage them. If anyone's interested, i am no means a hog expert, but can give advice on baiting and a cheap trap you can make that works well.
