food plot

I have used a lot of "Whitetail Institute" varieties.

I currently have planted 12 acres of "Imperial" clover, 8 acres of "Alfa-Rack", 3 acres of "Chicory Plus", 1 acre of "Extreme", 1 acre of "Secret Spot" and 1 1/2 acres of "Pure Attraction".

I have been satisfied with the growth from all the "WI" products I have planted. This is not to say there aren't others out there just as good or maybe even better.

I plan to branch out a bit this year and try some others. I have been doing research on Roundup Ready sugar beets and some different varieties of soybean.

I can honestly say I have had excellent results from all the "WI" seeds I have used. Pricey? Perhaps, but the results have proven to be satisfactory enough so I will continue to use them.

The only drawback I see right now is "WI" is not on the list of supporters of the "QDMA". This could influence some of my buying in the future.

so the clover is really good stuff. I was thinking about planting clover, chicory and winter greens this year. I hunt write next to a state park and me and my brother have been seeing a really big deer for the past 3 years. its the first time i will be planting a food plot.

The only problem with clover is it requires a lot of maintenance to keep it nice and productive.
