Leo
Just got the call. In spite of their efforts to save it the doctors have decided amputation is the only option left. He had a blood clot that cut off circulation and effectively "killed" his leg. These past few days have been very painful. He will be getting this done late this afternoon. He's in his 80's and not the best health this surgery will be very hard on him.

Leo
He made it through surgery and is in ICU now. They amputated above the knee saving as much as they thought they could. Now they are gonna watch to make sure they don't need to take more off. This is brutal. I personally don't understand why they didn't take everything they thought was questionable the first time. Leo
My brother in law is upstate there in the hospital with my wife and his wife dealing with the turmoil of our Father-in-laws tragedy. At 3pm this afternoon he finds out his mother who is in a nursing home and he has seen everyday since she moved there has passed away. This has been a heart wrenching day for all of us. But even more so for Charlie. I'm completely stunned by this news.
