270 win

I dont quite understand the question here but I'll give it a go. They are two entirely different cartidges and can not be interchanged.

The 270 Win is basically a necked down 30-06 to hold a .277" bullet. Regarded by many as the best "deer sized game" around the 270 Win is very popular. Standard factory loads will push a 130 gr bullet in the 3200 fps range, while the heavier 150 gr loads will do appx 2900fps. It's a flat shooting and a lower recoiling round.

The 270 Wby is based off the old 300 H&H case which uses a .532 case head. While not nearly as popular as the 270 Win it has a following of folks that want more speed. What ever the Winchester can do, the Weatherby can do about 200 fps faster. It is definately a flat shooting cartridge, though at the expense of using more powder and having more recoil. Not being a popular round, it's going to cost alot more than Winchester's round and the availibilty can be a problem.

You did not mention the 270 WSM which falls in between the two above.
