mastr001
I want to get a stream light super tac flashlight, but not sure if its what i need. I am just wanting it for tracking deer and such so i need more light than just walking to and from the stand. Not sure if the twin task or ploystinger is what i need. Cant find a store that has them around me. Can someone please give me advice. Or any other type of flashlight. I want to stay under $80. HUNTINGMAN
I have two stinger rechargables and love them. They are virtualy indestructable, made out of ilumium and are very bright and last a long time.I like the idea of not haveing to buy batteries anymore, just plug in and charge.I have used mine for a hammer and pry bar and it just keeps on going. They may be a little more money than you want to spend but they will last forever and you save money on batteries in the long run. redkneck
Try a browning, I love mine, and it was way cheaper than 80 bucks. awesome little lights in several sizes. I use the 2C and is SUPER bright. And you'll pick up one around 20-50 bucks depending on size. Also, not to hijack this thread, but everybody i know at the camp now has these "blood" lights. you know, they turn red, or blue, or whatever. AND everyone i know that has them has the same opinion i do, THEY DONT WORK!!! Edited February 2, 2009 by redkneck
bluelund79
You can not go wrong with Streamlight. Their customer service is beyond outstanding. I honestly won't own another. Long story short, had the mounting bracket for my TLR-2 strip, had no receipt, and they repaired it beond new, paid for shipping both ways, and replaced the batteries!!! It had seen duty in the desert and had been on more firearms than I care to admit-you can't go wrong with Streamlight! That is all that is in my truck, wifes car, home defense weapons, duty weapons, and general house use.

csualumni21000
Run time is short. Mag Lights are great and made in the USA. I have surefires and streamlights for light that will be carried alot and used little. Check run times on one set of batteries and then look at how long you will have the light on for. hungry hunter
Check out Galls.com (law enforcement). I use the Streamlight Stinger DS it is LED and super bright and just in case you need to blind some thing on your way to a tree stand or rowdy buddies at the hunt camp the second click on the botton turns into a strobe light, rechargable for around 125.00. I have used mine on patrol for 5 months now with no problems.
BearClaw
I use the Streamlight (Buckmasters w/ the Realtree camo) and it's great! Green light doesn't seem to spook the deer and the xenon light is super bright. I think I ordered it from a company called PlanetOptics.com. jm23494
Check out Pelican flashlights (the same company that makes the cases). Their flashlights are inexpensive and nearly indestructible. They have a lifetime warranty and will generally be replaced with no questions asked. I have one and payed less than $20 for it about 10 years ago and it is still working great. Don't get me wrong Streamlight makes great lights (I use two of them with my FD gear) but you pay for the name with them. Check out www.thefirestore.com for some good prices.
