Prayers Please

Thanks Steve and everyone else:cool:

At this point the Wifes diagnosis is Weakness brought about by the Fibromyalgia she has. Her visit to the hospital ER was a relief when the tests(EKG & Bloodwork) came back with no abnormalities and her BP was excellent:cool:

We would appreciate your prayers for her healing from this pervasive disease that never lets her get a complete rest. She's at the point with it now that she is in a constant state of near exaustion. Her hardest time during the day is actually when she lays down at night...5 minutes later the pains and aches in different parts of her body launch thier attack on her senses and often times she simply cant get to sleep.

A few days ago I went to the Cardiologist for a Stress Echo. It had been ordered by my physician for Shortness of Breath around the time of my recent illness. I had acute bacterial sinusitus and asmatic broncitus.

The preliminary tests were being completed by the technician before I got to walk on the treadmill. The tech was doing the different views with the sonogram then had me sit on the edge of the bed while she went out for a bit.

The Doctor came back in with her and I could hear them doing a little mumbling that I couldnt hear very well while they reviewed what had been done already.

The Doctor then told me that they needed to do the tests over again that had been done already and that I would not be walking on the treadmill today.

At that point I asked him what was going on and found out the bottom portion of my heart is not working the way it's supposed to. It's not contracting as hard as it should to be considered normal and it's possibly the cause of my shortness of breath. I've got another appointment with him on the 9th of Feb.

All this time I thought the shortness of breath had been a side effect from being so sick but it seems that the sickness brought to the surface the problem(whatever it is) with my heart.

Since I've seemed to have become better from being sick I've had decreased issues with being short of breath but I dont have a complete absence of the problem.

I know a couple of people with fibromyalgia and they all agree that going to the local pool is the only relief they get.

Just floating on water seems to soothe them until they get out. Then it all starts again. But they go every day just for the momentary respite.

Maybe this would help?

We are praying for you both every day.

Thanks Lady D, Linda likes her Hot Baths for a short amount of relief. She'll get that water so hot it turns her skin red and the relief lasts just about as long as it takes for her to dry off completely. I know we're just hanging in there some days and others it seems go pretty good. On the good days she likes to try to catch up on things that she's been wanting to do...and that night ends up being a night when she cant lay down for an hour straight.

When she cant do anything she's in bed for a couple days straight and feels like she's got flu like symptoms with the weakness.

Just for her sake...I pray God touches her body with freedom from this disease!!!

I re-read your wife's symptoms and I think you should hit the internet and look into Lyme Disease. Google it for a symptoms list and reference it to your wife. Fibermyalgia in my opinion and a lot of others is a diagnosis based on a lack of diagnosis.

I am being treated for Lyme as we speak and this Feb. 14th is my 1 year aniversary of not feeling well. I spent lots of money on doctors, tests, appendectomy, CTs, MRIs. Try to find a Lyme Literate Doctor you can talk to. New York is also an endemic state for Lyme. God Bless you Both. PM me if I can help.

We appreciate your prayers very much!

PotashRLS, She was diagnosed in the mid 90's with Fibromyalgia, seen a whole group of rheumatologists since that time, and she's been living with ever increasing symptoms since about that time. She's getting pretty tired of it and gets frustrated when she cant do what she wants to.

I also saw a rheumatologist.........waste of time-thats what the rheumatologist told me:confused: Your wife's case sounds like a classic case of Lyme. After all you guys have been through, what do you have to lose? I don't want to pry so PM me if you want to know more. There are doctors out there that can help her:)

Thanks Everyone...sincerely appreciated!;)

I've got the consult with the cardiologist tommorrow and I'll find out(hopefully) whats going on then. Been having some uncomfortable bouts with a Bounding Pulse and Tachycardia. My blood pressure is excellent averaging 115/78. Would'nt bother me if I had just got done running up a hill or something...but this has been while sitting in a recliner watching TV doing nothing and it just happens.

I hope I dont have to stop watching hunting shows with Big Bucks coming out:eek::(:D
