Strut10
Here is or was a Rem 700 7mm Ultra Mag that I shot the barrel out on. It now has a new tube chambered for 338-300 Ultra Mag. Picked it up this morning. Sweet lookin' rig!! How many rounds did it take to wash the throat out on the 7-RUM??
Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
At 450 I thought my scope had screwed up but smith checked it out and said throat was gone. Said he could remove and cut and rechamber and I went with another barrel. Over max RL25 and IMR7828 took its toll. I took my first elk here in Idaho with it. Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
My loads were over max but didnt show signs of pressure. I went till I got flattened primers then backed off 2 grains. It was still over anything in Nosler or Hornady manual. I had to send my 460 S&W back. It was flame cutting the top of the frame in front of the cylinder. 40 shots on it and it looked pretty bad

Although we OTPG'ers are the most serious, most envied shooters on the web, that doesn't mean we can't display a bit of good will and benevolency every once in a while. We are the only organization within the Forums able to make such an offer available and I feel, as such, it's our good, civic duty. Actually, this is the very, only piece of OTPG Gear ever offered to a non-member and a monumental event, at that. That's not to say that a member can't scoop it up. Depends on who wants it worse, I guess. The proceeds from its sale will go to a great cause. And that's what we at the OTPG should be focused on, here. I know if I was a member of the most serious, most envied shooters on the web, that I would not want some outsider come in and get a piece of fine Club product. I would stand behind the club and keep the losers out. But whatever, I will take the hat and flaunt it around saying that I am president if I win the auction. Texan_Til_I_Die
...I would stand behind the club and keep the losers out... I personally see those non-members as someone who could step off the porch at any time. All it takes is one opportunity to get out of those eastern woods and head "out west" and suddenly they're out shopping for that long range launcher. Strut10
I personally see those non-members as someone who could step off the porch at any time. Good point, Texan. Everyone is just one prudent gun purchase away from OTPG-dom. All it takes is one opportunity to get out of those eastern woods and head "out west" and suddenly they're out shopping for that long range launcher. Believe you, me, Texan.........there's some serious long-range launchers hanging around these eastern woods, too. Just go back and check out some of the Blast Off and Lead Fling posts. Strut10
7 mag remington, .357, .444 Marlin? If you're inquiring as to those calibers' OTPG eligibility, that would be a resounding "yes", "no", "no".
