stinking thieves

Here's what happened to me around christmas. I got home one friday, and the UPS man had dropped off a gourmet coffee maker. I became really suspicious, so i got online and looked at my account (debit card). I had a lot of charges to places like AARP membership, mag subscriptions, vitamin clubs, you name it. They were all sent to my house and were monthy recurring charges for hundreds of dollars a month. I dont get it! Why steal my ID and then have junk sent to me?!? Meanness i suppose. Then this week i got a letter saying my wife's card was amongst the millions stolen in the big scam a week or so ago. It's not a matter of IF your ID is stolen guys....its a matter of WHEN!!!

Call experian, equifax, or that other one. One call to any of those big 3 and they will share your info with all three and put a 60 day credit freeze on your ID. If i can find that number, i'll post it. It's an automated call and easy to use, they'll send you a letter and notify you if anyone tries to create credit in your name.

It's just such a stinking hassle!!

Just found out new cards for another account I have not used in a couple years were sent to our address January 10th, WE NEVER GOT THEM. was going to use that card until we get our new cabelas card, but looks like I am going to have to shut that account down too.:( We made multiple complaints to the PO last year after and they said they were going to straighten out the problems.

I don't know that getting a PO box or a locking mailbox will make any difference at all, have very little confidence in the USPS. What a freaking nightmare this is turning into.:mad:
