E72
OK, pile on ...you guys have all the answers. If the Cardinals had pulled it off you would be poo pooing all the way into September... Theres that "IF" word again. Im glad the refs admitted their mistakes, except they never explained why Kurt Warner is allowed to take his helmet off to argue a call and not get a 15 yard penalty. Guess thats another one they missed, since we're keeping score on penalties.
buckbuster11
We can argue about refs all day. It was not a well officiated game but it was not the reason the Steelers won. Yes, the roughing the QB call was bad, they missed the call on Holmes for celebrating, and should have reviewed the final play. People want to point out all the calls that went the Steelers way because they can't stand watching the Steelers win all the time and they forget there are bad calls either way. As mentioned above, Warner pulled his helmet off too and didn't get a flag, James Harrison was getting held beyond belief at least a half dozen times, Larry Fitzgerald who tackled James Harrison at the end of his long interception for a TD ran 40 yards out of bounds down the sideline before coming back on the field and tackling Harrison. That is a clear penalty but there was no flag. If Harrison had been tackled at the one foot line how big of a "no call" would that have been? The holding call on the safety was suspect at best. We could go on and on. The bottom line is when the game was on the line the Steelers outplayed Arizona. End of story.

That's what i'm saying, absolutely no consistency in the way games are officiated anymore. It's pathetic, maybe they need to re think the idea of part time refs.
