Team Realtree
What would you think about having camo scrubs or uniforms available for your line of work? Is that something you would be interested in? S
wtnhunt
My wife expressed an interest in camo scrubs in the past Scott. Think one of her former co workers had some home made camo scrubs.

Turkeygirl
You know how awesome RT camo scrubs at camp would be if I'm the health director....awesome is an understatement!:-)
fly
I know a lot of people who would if the facility allowed it. A lot of hospitals (most I would say) require specific colors for nurses, techs, respiratory, etc... It makes it easier for patients to identify who is caring for them. The nurse managers would have to approve it, and unfortunately I doubt many would think of cammo as a "professional" color. Of course I would, but then I'm not a manager either. There are certain days like halloween when they would be very popular. I'd buy a set.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Nothing says competent like wearing camo in the wrong environment.I just called our Chief Nursing Officer and asked her. She said that camo scrubs didn't meet policy. Personally I'd rather have someone wearing camo scrubs work on me than someone wearing scrubs with cartoon characters, which I see all the time around here. stevebeilgard
camo is not only popular, it's considered "cool" wherever it's worn. kids, especially, love it and wear it wherever they go. i'll bet the staff at any hospital would love it. good question, scott. mrswtnhunt
I am a nurse and I work in a nursing home. I don't think our facility would allow it. As my hubby said in an earlier post, I did work at a facility with a nurse that was an avid hunter and she hand made a pair of scrubs out of camo. Everyone loved it and it looked good. No patients or family members ever said anything negative about it. I would definetly buy a pair to wear on "casual day". BTW, is this question an indication that realtree might be coming out with a line of camo scrubs????? That'd be tooooo cooool!
RangerClay
If you hurry, you could have a set made up for Kyle before his little one is born. When he is in delivery, the first thing his boy will see is his daddy in camo.
elkoholic
Sorry to say, but, most employers would not allow it. I personally would like to be able to wear a camo smock at the pharmacy but camo ties are even forbidden.

There are certain days like halloween when they would be very popular. I'd buy a set. With all the clinicals we've done, I'd have to agree that this is the normal stumbling block you would hit. Some will love it and some won't. The "Powers that Be" will have to take the conservative approach and stick with more conventional attire. I personally think you should look into BDU stuff for SWAT, Sheriff Depts, and the such. Add your camo to their type of work apparel and you could have a winner;) Realtree could use an "Urban" camo...........ding ding ding, we have a winner. Just send me my slice of the pie when you get around to it:rolleyes: EMTs and Medics in our part of the medical field need to be seen not hidden. It wouldn't work for us:(
Turkeygirl
Well even though I probably couldn't wear it in the hospital....they would be so awesome at camp....kids would love it.

Mrs. Strut10
I'm an LPN and used to work for a surgeon...........before the Strutlets came along. We would have LOVED to have had Realtree scrubs in our office. The girls I used to work with still would. I think a lot of guys would welcome camo scrubs rather than wearing some of the colors and pattern some of the companies put out there these days. Bring 'em on!! I'll be first in line to but them........just to lounge in.
Turkeygirl
Ditto....I'd be first in line as well...they are comfy usually
