saphira
I'm fixing to buy a deer decoy. I was looking at bass pro and they got two that are in my price range. Montana deer decoy and delta deer decoy. I was wondering which one you all would prefer.

GWSmith
The best one is the one you dont leave at home:D Seriously...if it becomes too much of a hassle to take with you what good is it? I use 3 Renzo's decoys on every hunt. I set them up in a triangle so from any direction thier very likely to be seen. Then when a deer attempts to go down wind I believe it would appear that the deer is moving and creates even more curiosity. All 3 decoys fit in a Orange Mesh potatoe bag I got from a local grocery store that wieghs next to nothing even with the decoys in it! A couple words of caution though: Take the approriate steps to ensure your safety when using any decoy. Make sure if/when you start using a 2-D decoy for the first few times you set them up either facing you or facing away from you. Yes...you can get fooled by your own decoys...BTDT:o

My Father did'nt think too much of them either until this buck stepped out and caught a glimpse of the ones I setup in front of his stand:D Like any other decoy it matters when and where you place them;)
