..ended on a very sour note.

My wife, son and I arrived home to find one of our dogs were missing. We looked for about 20 mins. without any success. Then we saw the Animal Control Officer at our neighbors house. Come to find out Myra had found a spot in the wood privacy fence and crawled through to the neighbors back yard. They seem to think that their dog killed her, but there wasn't any puncture wounds or blood on her. She was starting to have seizure-like episodes not too long ago and we think this might have been what got the best of her.

She will be missed for sure, my wife is pretty upset about it. We had her for almost 3 years. R.I.P. Myra. :(

She always thought she was ten foot tall and bullet proof. She would chase my Great Dane around like she was gonna rip him apart! Here she is standing guard.

Sorry to hear about your loss...they really are like family.

I've been asking the wife if she's ready to have another dog since ours died over a year ago. I've only been asking for the last few months...It took awhile for me to get ready again.

I'd say give it a little time but discuss it between your wife and you....Talk about it with her. Find out how she feels and see if your both ready;)
