muggs
Let's forget the fact that he just became the first player in over 30 years to score over 50 points and record a triple-double, or the fact that he just became the youngest player to score 12,000 points in a career, or the fact that he has the Cavs at 39-9 leading into the All-Star break... but in the past month, I've watched him play shutdown defense on Chris Paul, the quickest PG in the league, only to guard and contain Jermaine O'Neal a 6'10" power forward the next night, only to guard Allen Iverson the game after that. His defense is all-NBA. Sure, Kobe scored 61 in MSG compared to LBJ's 52...but Kobe only had 3 assists and zero boards. LeBron had 11 assists and 10 boards. Matter of fact, just read Kobe has only had 10 or more assists 5 times this season- LeBron has had 10 of more assists six times since January 1st. No question in my mind- he's going to go down as the best ever. There's also no question in my mind that the Cavs are gonig to win it all and bring my beloved city a ring. cinch314
I'll give you that LeBron is great, but I still think he has a lot more growing up to do to beat Jordan as the best ever. He is well on his way though. I don't think the Cav's will do it this year. I think it will be a rematch of last years two finalists but with the Lakers coming out on top. Both of those teams have a lot more experience in the playoffs than the Cavs do, but it won't be long before the Cavs are up in the playoffs. I just can't believe how horrible the Hornets are playing this year though.
toddyboman
The real question is....Will he stay in C-Town..... :D Yes LeBron a complete player and going to go down as ONE of the best, but before the can be considered that he must first win some titles....... FLAT OUT...the single reason I started watching basketball again since Jordan left the Bulls. Amazing to watch! Way to soon to be saying the best ever though.....CHILL! Lets get the Sharks a cup first...then worry about the Cav's, LOL! FYI....can't stand Kobe.
texastrophies
I really like watching LJ play, I think it is a wee little bit early in his career to say he will be the best ever. Although his career is, at this point, on a similar path as MJ's was, he has to finish the job like MJ did before he can even be considered as being in the top group of players, much less best ever. muggs
I'll give you that LeBron is great, but I still think he has a lot more growing up to do to beat Jordan as the best ever. He is well on his way though. Well, sure, he's only 24...he stays healthy, he's going to smash Jordan's status, no doubt in my mind. Jordan is still on top, for now. The real question is....Will he stay in C-Town..... :D Why wouldn't he? Don't let PTI tell you how to think. As far as the Cavs go, it's a team that's been to the finals why ahead of their time and they do one thing better than anybody- and that's play defense. Even more important than their ability to play defense, is the fact I've never seen any pro team with their sort of chemistry. It doesn't show up on the stat sheet...but that's the most important thing in sports. Defense and they're closeness as a team will get them the ring. And now they have a point gurad, Mo Williams should have been an All-Star. A ture PG was what they've been missing. The media (esp. ESPN) will always favor the big markets- but for what it's worth...they flat out destroyed both the Lakers and the Celtics...in their buildings. They killed Boston without two starters even. There's no one out there that can compete, and with the Lakers loosing Bynum and the Magic loosing Nelson, the East is theirs and I think they'd have a great shot at sweeping the Lakers, I think they win that series in 5 or 6 though, Kobe will win a game or two on his own, and it's hard for any team to win both games on the road after flying across the nation. They are the best team in the league now though, without question. They need to stay healthy. Big Z is always an injury risk, as is Big Ben's back. Oh- and they have the best bench. cinch314
I have to give you that their defense has been absolutely brilliant this year. If they can keep Varejo from hacking and keep Big Z healthy they will be strong contenders.
ruttinbuc
I just wonder if I'd be reading this if LeBron played for the Wizards??
Ohiobucks
Not taking away from the fact that the NBA is full of world class athletes, but overall, the NBA is a joke. Easiest job on the planet = NBA head coach. What do they do, really? Bunch of overpaid individuals playing a team sport. I hates the NBA..... muggs
I just wonder if I'd be reading this if LeBron played for the Wizards?? Ha. No you would not. Thomas, Mike Brown is a good coach- but you're right...sometimes half the team isn't even listening when most coaches are drawing plays up. unioncountyslayer
There's no doubt that Kobe is the best scorer in the league. But best all-around definitley goes to Lebron. But "Best Ever"...Let's talk after he's won 6 rings like Mike. Now that's total domination.
buckbuster11
The stat line LeBron put up at MSG is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. 52 points and a triple double?? That's freaking amazing.
PAhunter14
The stat line LeBron put up at MSG is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. 52 points and a triple double?? That's freaking amazing. They took away his triple double, reveiwed his 10th rebound and decided to give it to another player. But still an amazing game.
