Strut10
And, no.........it's not OTPG eligible. Picked up a used, but cherry Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight in 25-06 yesterday for a good price. 24" fluted, stainless barrel, 5 3/4 lbs, gray spiderweb stock. The gun just fits wonderfully. Looks a lot like this........... I can't wait to get some glass on it and get shooting.
Shaun_300
That's awesome Don! Congrats on the new addition! I just got a .25-06 before Christmas and I love it, deadly accurate caliber.

Adjam5
Great caliber...took my Axis with a TC 25-06 last week. Congrats on the purchase and I know it must be hard to shoot something that is not punishing:D
bluelund79
Excellent pick up! I love that cartridge, probably even more when I get to start reloading it! Mine absolutely loves the 117gr BTSP from Hornady, and can't find them anymore, hence the need to reload(or as I told my better half)Show some range pics!!!! doubleA
strut10 great choice, the 25-06 is a nice flat shooting, light recoiling "deer" size cartridge. I have eyed that same model of rifle myself. I just put a few rounds down my newly restocked Cooper M22 yesterday. Found that R-25 gave me the best accuracy and velocities with a Sierra 120 BTHP and that IMR-4831 and 100-110 grain Noslers are the ticket. Strut10
Show some range pics!!!! Just got offline with SWFA and Midway. I should have brass, dies, bullets, scope and rings by week's end or so. Problem is..........the weather at the range has been on the iffy side lately. Strut10
Guess I'm gonna hafta wait to find out. Got e-mail notification today that the scope I ordered from SWFA is out of stock with no backorder date. Sure woulda been nice if their website had an "available"/"out of stock" feature like most any other one does. First time I've ever done business (or tried to) with the place. I ain't too tickled. wtnhunt
Might check natchez Don. They usually will come pretty close to swfa's prices if nto beating them.

I always go to Natchez first. But, oddly enough, they did not have the item. Maybe that should have told me something.

I know some people are not too fond of ebay, but if you are looking for something specific that has been discontinued, might be a consideration. Natchez unfortunately does not sell to Tennessee residents, wish they did, would be the first place I would check too.
Strut10
Called SWFA on Thursday. The scope is backordered until Feb. 27th. Sure would be nice if they'd jump into the 21st century and link their inventory to their website. I can't see myself calling them back real soon. Not even if this order works out like they expect it to.
Strut10
Well..........the scope and rings came today and a tad earlier than expected. It's sitting on top of the 25-0 and ready to hit the range. Between other things that gotta be done and the crappy weather, though........looks like it's going to be a while before we actually make it to the bench. Winter sucks. It's winter too here in South Texas but's the temps are running in the mid 80's I'll be thinking of y'all up north when I am having my cocoa/ coffee and shooting a few rounds down range tomorrow morning.(the mirage gets bad in the afternoon) Have a couple of AR's , a custom M700 in 6.5 Gibbs and FNH 308 to play with. Good luck on the 25 naught 6 when you get it on the bench, look at this way strut, least ya dont have to clean it yet:D
