mrswtnhunt
"Someday" by Kenny Chestney....the part where he sings...."The only thing that gives me hope, is I'll see her again someday". I cry everytime:(........makes me miss my mom. She has been gone 7 years this January. I know that someday I'll see her again in heaven. Tominator
Thought of another one today when I heard it on the radio--Want To by Sugarland. Fits my wife and I to a "T" when we first started dating.
Steven
A few more personal songs that had a huge impact on me. You may remember the traumatic ordeal I went through about this time last year. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69324 Wow, I just realized I posted that 1 year ago today, maybe that explains the way I've been feeling. There are a few songs that really took on a whole new meaning after that. They are all by Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist). These songs are from an album called Book of Shadows and beginning to end it's just raw emotion in its purest form- stripped down, mostly acoustic, not over-produced- excellent album. Anyway, both of these really helped me out, eventually. At first they probably prolonged my pain. The the last one finally made me feel better, eventually. Road Back Home I look around I see that time ain't changed Same old faces, Same old names All the things we thought we knew You lied to me & I lied to you (Now) All this time You never sympathize All this time I can't find my way back inside What you give is what you get But you drew the line on me baby Tears falling free but you can't see child I'm just a touch away baby Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home (oh-yeah) Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home, back home The pain blew in like a hurricane Stranger in this town bearing your name Trapped in the silence with my memories It's cutting me deep & its tellin' me All this time You never sympathize All this time I can't find my way back inside Going nowhere & I'm headed there fast & I don't mean maybe The light is getting low & my touch is growing cold Oh just hold me baby Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home (oh-yeah) Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home, back home What you give is what you get But you drew the line on me baby Tears falling free but you can't see child I'm just a touch away baby Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home (oh-yeah) Tell me where am I now (oh-o) Why, where & how Show me the road back home, back home Throwin' It All Away You couldn't feel the sunlight upon your face Your little world A little out of place You couldn't hear the ocean You couldn't hear the waves I know you meant to come back I know you meant to stay All you touched All you know All you loved - yeah Well I can see you smile Can you see my tears? I reach to hold you But you ain't there You left a hole so big lord, Beyond repair I'll try to find forgiveness in talkin' what Will never share All you touched All you know All you loved You just left 'em with nothing to say You're just throwin' it all away No you didn't care to see the light of day You're just throwin' it all away Like the sand upon the beach Your crashing waves came took you away Then when I finally got my head cleared up, I started to really associate with this one. The Things You Do Color my world all black & blue The h*ll you dish out Comes back three-fold to you Inside your riddled rotten core I hope you get what you deserve Worse & even more How can you do the things you do? You make Satan look like Christ I swear its true How could you do the things you do? The Rolling Stones once sang a tune Singing words of sympathy Yet none were sung for you If the lord of darkness seen you comin' his way He'd get on his knees And look to Jesus and start to pray start to pray start to pray How can you do the things you do? You make Satan look like Christ I swear its true How could you do the things you do?
