I had mine out at age 34 which was a loooong time ago and for an adult all I got was a local yep I was awake for the procedure. I found only a few things that went down really hard and two were hamburg and bananas. You do not chew hamburg much you mosty just break it up into small pieces and man that hurt going down. My Dr said most likely the bananas causing a burning sensation was the potassium in them. It took about 3 weeks till I could eat a banana without it burning my throat like a lit match. By the way potatoe chips were very easy to eat as they actually mush up in the mouth and are easily swallowed except for the salt content. The first couple of days are the worst.
