unioncountyslayer
Looks like Brett is going to hang it up for good this time. No press, no hoopla, no tearful goodbye. Ok, weigh in Favre haters... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3898942
BowtechTurkeyHunter
He played a decent year ... if I remember right he did the same thing last year as he did before ... he didnt get his team to the Super Bowl ... I mean after all thats all that matters any more right? I thought he should have stayed out last year but regardless he wasn't the worste QB of the season. JJL
I sincerely hope that he sticks around a few more years just to solidify that interception record. MY MY MY.......how the once mighty have fallen................GO BEARS.:D:D:D:D
PotashRLS
He clearly regrets stooping to Ted Thompson's level. This past year in New York was a huge mistake. It would have been better to eat crow and re-retire and go out having not played for the Jets. He will still retire a Packer though. Sundays this past year were not the same without him:o

hoythunter37
I am kinda glad. Dont get me wrong I think he is a great player but the way he played this year was not so well. WWWAAAAYYYY to many interceptions. But I think it is for the good of him.

Chrud
NYJ will use up the cap room they'll get with Favre being "retired." He'll say he wants to come back in June or July. NYJ will have no cap room, so they'll have to cut him. Favre can then go play for Minnesota.

redkneck
I'm sure he'll manage in retirement. He lives not too far south of here. Here's his modest pad:

PAhunter14
Heres how its going to go down, the Jets think favre retires so they spend lots of money on free adgents, Favre decides to come back, the Jets cant pay him to come back because of the salery cap, so they are forced to drop him.
