Dakota
As a Media major, I was able to check out an $800 Sony video camera w/ tripod from the USF Media Dept. until Monday. I'm planning on going down to Newton Hills State Park this weekend and try it out while getting some footage of scenerie and wildlife (deer, turkeys etc...). Best part is, my Media professor is allowing me to take it along on my turkey hunt with Jim Zumbo in the Black Hills this spring and get some footage! I'm pumped! Here's hoping I can catch some good footage of a gobbler or two! Dakota

Dakota
Well, I was disappointed this morning on my drive to a friend of the family's farm for breakfast before class thinking that I hadn't been able to get any footage over the weekend. Then I look across the road from the taxidermy shop and there is a herd of 8-10 deer in the field! Luckily I had the video camera with me, pulled over, got out and started filming. :D:D I only got about a minute's worth of footage before I had to get back on the road. After I pulled out though, a couple of big bodied deer (I'm assuming bucks) ran out of the cattails and chased the does across the field. I can't wait to show you guys the footage.
